Robert provides an in-depth understanding of the maintenance and operation of almost all equipment within the division of Sport, Exercise & Nutritional Sciences (SENS). Rob was previously a senior laboratory demonstrator for multiple years, a role he managed to balance with a full teaching schedule whilst working towards his PhD in biomechanics. Robert has now completed his PhD and is involved with teaching from Foundation Entry all the way through to MSc level. Robert has a wide-ranging understanding of biomechanical principles and how to effectively pass that understanding onto his students.

Robert represents the division of Sport, Exercise & Nutritional Sciences in the Athena Swan Equality Challenge Unit; ensuring that all employees of the University are treated equally regardless of age, race, gender, background or disability. Robert is a talented scientist with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
Robertβs research interests focus on the development and prevention of ankle inversion injuries with a keen interest in wearable technology such as ankle bracing and protectors.
